The Baikonur cosmodrome is a unique complex consisting of the most complex technical structures, the first and largest cosmodrome in the world of international importance. It is located on the territory of Kazakhstan, near the village of Tyuratam.
Day 1. Upon arrival to Kyzyl-Orda, before driving to Baikonur, we will have a short sightseeing tour, you will visit Kyzyl-Orda: a railway station (since 1905), Mosque Aitbai ( since 1878), Cathedral of our lady Kazan built in Russia byzanthine style (since 1896) before your transfer to Baikonur. On the way from Kyzyl-Orda to Baikonur, we will make a stop at a large memorial complex dedicated to the composer, philosopher, poet KorkytAta who has also invented "Kobyz" Kazakh instrument in a form of violin. Korkyt-Ata who lived in VIII-IX centuries has completely devoted his life to searches of immortality of human soul. The Korkyt-Ata memorial was built in a place of mausoleum where philosopher KorkytAta was buried and when music is played there, the sound resonates so that it can be heard equally from any part of the memorial. Overnight in Baikonur.
Day 2. After an early breakfast, you will be transported to Baikonur cosmodrome where you will see the roll out of a space ship from storage, here you will drive in your car following the spaceship while it is transported from spaceship storage to start platform from where spaceship will be installed and prepared for launch to aerospace. Later you will drive to site #2 where will enjoy sightseeing in Baikonur Spaceport Museum with more than 13,000 various displays space shuttles (from the oldest ones to the most recent ones), the Buran spaceship, here you will have a guided tour inside the Buran spaceship rocket and see all the equipment inside the spaceshipand the Yurii Gagarin's cottage-museum. In the afternoon you will be transferred to Aral Sea for an overnight stay.
Day 3. After breakfast, you will enjoy shopping at the local market before driving to the former fish receiving station, you will then drive to the ship graveyard (stranded fishing vessels in the desert) reaching the Tastubek village (to see daily life of fishermen families) and of course, sea itself on the north-west of Aralsk, 90 km from town. After your drive you will have lunch at a fishermen house. In the afternoon or evening enjoy driving to the seashore (4 km) to sail together with local fishermen.
Day 4–5. After breakfast, transfer to Baikonur. Upon arrival enjoy a short city tour around Baikonur: city museum, parks, monuments, "Soyuz", a memorial to missile men before watching the crew of astronauts departure to the start and report to the State Commission. Later on we will drive to the area where the space shuttle is prepared for launch from the observation platform that is located in 4km distance from start you will be able to supervise launch of a space shuttle to the International Space Station. Overnight drive to Kyzylorda, for your flight onward.
