Absorb the big-sky panoramas of the Gobi Desert and vast Mongolian steppe alongside nomadic herds people, sleeping in a traditional ger (yurt) by bottomless Lake Khovsgol. Witness the spectacle of the Naadam games, drinking fermented mare’s milk with the triumphant wrestlers and riders.
Day1. Ulaanbaatar
Upon your arrival to Ulaanbaatar, meet and assist by our representatives in Mongolia. Transfer to your hotel.
Day 2. Ulaanbaatar / Ulgii Town / Tavan Bogd National Park
Take a morning flight to Ulgii town, the most western town of Mongolia. Start driving to the countryside heading to the Tavan Bogd National Park for your transfer to your local home.
Day 3. Tavan Bogd National Park
After breakfast, visit a 3000-year-old rock painting in Petroglyph, these interesting drawings including snow leopards, ancient carts and many more. You will also see the human-like stones in this area, where you'll find mountains over 4000m (12000 ft) and a 15km long glacier.
Day 4. Tavan Bogd National Park / Hoton & Hurgan Lake
This beautiful morning we start driving to another part of the National Park, where you'll enjoy the beautiful snowcapped mountains which are over 3500m high with its beautiful lakes and mountains.
Day 5. Khoton & Khurgan Lake
After breakfast, we visit to the Baga Turgen Waterfall by walking or horse back riding through the mesmerizing mountains and larch trees along the way.
Day 6. Hoton Lake/ Ulgii town
After breakfast, drive back to Sagsai village to visit the local Golden Eagle Master’s family. Spend a day with family and enjoy the Golden Eagle training. Then drive to Ulgii town which is a colorful spectrum of some of the other smaller ethnic groups that also reside in the province.
Day 7. Ulgii/ Sagsai Village –Golden Eagle Festival Sagsai
This morning attend the Golden Eagle Festival, starting with the parade of Golden Eagle Hunters, competitions will then follow. After that festival is finished, drive to Ulgii town for another full day at the festival, a Golden Eagle will released from the top of the hill to catch a bait or land on the master's arm! And as the Golden Eagle competition continues, you will watch other national games such as Kuz-kuu, where a woman chases a man on her fastest horse to whip the man when she catches him, or Kuk-bar, an amazing horse game where 2 teams will compete to snatch a goatskin and deliver it to the point. Day 8. Ulgii/ Sagsai Village – Golden Eagle Festival Sagsai
After breakfast, enjoy the second day of the festival. More of games and award giving ceremonies will take place.
Day 9. Ulgii/ Ulaanbaatar
After breakfast, transfer to the local airport and take your flight back to Ulaanbaatar city. Enjoy a free afternoon, before your farewell dinner.
Day 10. Departure
After breakfast, transfer to the airport, for your departure back home.
