Mona went on a familiarization trip of Montenegro in May 2019 with a number of other Travel Designers from around the world.
This is how Mona described it in a sentance: "The landscape is so green and beautiful and with the ocean always in sight gives you a pleasant, tranquil sensation. Which is a must when on a holiday I guess".
The bays give a feeling that we are on a lake; we kept saying: “I feel like I’m somewhere in Italy, like lake Como”.
The food in general is simple, and you have to know where to go, but since it’s a seaside destination you will get a lot of fresh seafood. And if I were to recommend just one place, it would be Ribarsko Selo.
It was amazing to see how popular this country is becoming. Multiple new developments are underway by different investors; Russians, Egyptians, and Emirati to name a few. Regent Porto Montenegro, the Chedi, and One&Only are all hotels which are part of bigger developments.
New direct flight routes are opening, and there are 3 airports that connect you to the Montenegro seaside: Tivat, Podgorica, and Dubrovnik (in Croatia).
