• Please note that Rovos Rail hasn't run steam in almost two decades because of the increasing restraints imposed by the authorities for environmental and other reasons. They do however always have a steam locomotive on the platform 90 minutes prior to departure of all journeys from Capital Park station for photographic and viewing opportunities by guests who will be departing later on the train

There are three levels of accommodation available onboard:
1. Royal Suites (±16 sqm/±172 sqft) each take up half a carriage, are spacious and elegant. Each has its own private lounge area and full bathroom with Victorian bath and separate shower.
2. Deluxe Suites (±10 sqm/±108 sqft) also accommodate two passengers in either twin or double beds and have a lounge area and en-suite bathroom with shower.
3. Pullman Suites (±7 sqm/±76 sqft) have the identical bathroom to that of the Deluxe Suites and the bedroom is smaller with a one-up one-down bed for twin requirements or a double bed for couples. During the day this can be converted into a comfortable couch. 
 
The rate per person includes: • Three superb meals daily, all alcoholic and other beverages • Sightseeing excursions accompanied by a qualified tour guide • Entrance fees to places of interest • 24-hour full room service and bar facilities • Government tax • Limited laundry service on board the train. Not included: Staff gratuities and off-train and aeroplane beverages.
